  Wives Group

"A bit of history about The Wives Group"

In 1969 a "Young Wives Group" was formed by Helen Butterworth, wife of Roderick Butterworth the vicar at that time.
We are still a very strong group but now known as The Wives Group.

We are open to all denominations of faith, single widowed or divorced ladies.
One of the great attributes of this group if the friendship between everyone. Our meetings are hold on the third Thursday of each month, we have speakers, visits out to the Theatre, walks, Progressive Dinners, Summer BBQ, outdoor activity weekends etc.

Whilst enjoying all these activities we help to raise money for St Michael's Church, members can just attend the meetings or join in any of the other activities.
We are a "young at heart" group and new members are always very welcome.
